The October Goulburn to the Murray trade opportunity is scheduled to recommence at 12:00 PM (midday) on Thursday 9 November 2023.

Following the system error of 16 October, it has been decided that an altered procedure will take place for the re-opening of the trade opportunity on 9 November.

For the 9 November Goulburn to Murray trade opportunity re-opening, allocation accounts that had Goulburn to Murray trade applications approved on 16 October will be processed in the order they are received – unless the application would mean that they are trading more than the volume available in the account immediately after any 16 October trade applications were approved. Trade applications received on 9 November that cause the total volume traded to exceed this volume will be moved to the bottom of the queue.

This new procedure has been made in accordance with Rule 34 of the Trading Rules for Declared Systems.

For this instance, the 16 October and 9 November events are to be considered a single trade opportunity. Read the full new procedure for the 9 November event here. This new procedure will help create a fairer trade opportunity, in limiting those accounts that successfully had trades approved on 16 October from having an advantage over participants that did not trade.
