This is a reminder that the Victorian Water Register will close at 12 pm on Tuesday 30 June 2026 for end-of-year accounting to transition from the 2025–26 to the 2026–27 water year. The register will reopen at 9 am on 1 July 2026.
The following online services will be unavailable during the shutdown time:
- My Water (including online allocation trading, bore construction licence applications, and the Broker Portal)
- Copy of Record purchases
- Victorian Water Register website.
A reminder of the impact of end of water year on allocation trade opening and closing times is available here. The Barmah Narrows and Goulburn-to-Murray allocation trade openings have impacts on other Victorian Water Register users:
- The MDBA Barmah Narrows and Goulburn-to-Murray allocation trade opportunities open for a 7-hour submission window on Thursday 2 July 2026 from 7 am to 2 pm.
- All trade applications submitted online will be referred to manual processing from 7 am Thursday 2 July 2026 until the conclusion of processing on Friday 3 July 2026. Non‑trade opening related applications submitted during this period will be processed at the end of this window, just before normal system operations resume.
- My Water (including the Broker Portal) will be briefly offline once processing is complete (approximately half an hour). Normal register operations will then resume. The timing of this outage, once known, will be announced on the Victorian Water Register news.
DEECA would also like to remind users that multi-factor authentication (MFA) is now required to access My Water and the Broker Portal. For assistance, email waterregister.support@deeca.vic.gov.au or call DEECA’s Customer Contact Centre on 13 61 86.
