Multi-factor authentication (MFA) has now been implemented on My Water and the Broker Portal.
Following this important security update, users are now required, upon each login, to enter their username, password, and a one-time verification code sent to their registered email address.
With the Goulburn-to-Murray and Barmah July trade openings commencing on Wednesday 2 July 2026, users are strongly encouraged to confirm they can access My Water in advance to avoid any delays or issues during the submission window.

In addition to MFA, DEECA has implemented a range of minor security updates designed to strengthen the security of the Victorian Water Register and improve the protection of user accounts and information. These include clearer conditions for system access, login enhancements, and updated Terms and Conditions of Use.
